Sam
Sam's passion for swimming ignited during high school. It was at a pain rehab facility where she first encountered rehabilitative exercises in the water, an experience that deeply resonated with her and helped her fall in love with the rehabilitative and healing power of water. This discovery came before her tenure at the YMCA's Aquatics department, where she excelled in lifeguarding, teaching swimming, and leading water fitness classes. Teaching is intrinsic to Sam's character, and she's proud to have founded a business centered around it. Her commitment to relationships extends to clients and colleagues, reflecting her dedication to personal connection. A poignant moment for Sam is witnessing the elation on a student's face as they achieve something new, instilling them with the confidence to conquer it again.

Natalia
Natalia is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology with a specialization in early childhood development through SNHU's online bachelor's program. Originally from Mexico City, she has called Austin home for nearly two decades. With over a decade of swimming experience, ranging from competitive swimming in high school to teaching swim classes, Natalia specializes in working with young children and stroke development.
In her role as a teacher, Natalia finds immense joy in sharing her passion for swimming, fostering a love for the water in her students, and imparting this vital life skill. She takes pride in helping individuals build confidence, safety awareness, and proficiency in the water—a lifelong asset for each student.

Cleve
Cleve, thrilled to embark on his third year of swim teaching, brings decades of experience from his recent retirement in state government human resources. His journey in swimming education dates back to the 1980s, coaching the City of Midland swim team. Cleve's passion lies in instructing mature swimming students, employing a knack for breaking down skills into clear, manageable steps. Beyond the pool, he's an active member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, lending his tenor to the gospel music ministry. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, Cleve eagerly anticipates the joy of witnessing his students' accomplishments this year, fostering growth they never thought possible.
Aaron
Aaron, a seasoned swimmer and coach, is a fervent advocate for the sport. Specializing in stroke work and backed by a rich history in competitive swimming, he thrives on igniting others' passion for the pool. Drawing from his own experiences, Aaron aspires to be the mentor and role model he admired in his formative years. With his expertise, infectious energy, and individualized guidance, Aaron empowers swimmers at every level to achieve their aspirations and cultivate a profound love for swimming.
Manuel
Manuel, originally from Mérida, Venezuela, holds a Physical Education Degree from Los Andes University, complemented by certifications in volleyball coaching and physiotherapy. With two decades of competitive swimming experience and three years dedicated to teaching swimming to individuals of all ages, Manuel made his way to the US in 2022. Currently, he thrives as both a middle school educator and swim coach. His favorite group to teach? Early swimmers, where he fosters a love for the water while ensuring their safety.
Liz
Liz has always found herself in the “helping” profession, focused on the growth of others. Liz’s commitment to excellent customer service is a top priority, especially when it comes to assisting others on their journey of developing essential life skills. Liz’s background in Psychology helps her have a strong focus on empathy, compassion, active listening, seeking/providing clarification when necessary, and working to provide the best answer/solution to inquiries in order for potential and existing clients to feel cared about and heard.

Shifat
Shifat, hailing from Rangpur, Bangladesh, pursued Finance at IBA, University of Rajshahi. But his true calling was the dynamic realm of digital communication. Drawn to the ethos of Smiles Assistance LLC, Shifat now leverages his deep passion for social media marketing, graphic design, and video editing to echo the company's mission: building relationships and fostering confidence through swimming. Each visual and content piece crafted by Shifat isn't just about aesthetics or engagement—it's a narrative, showcasing the transformative power of our lessons. Joining Smiles Assistance was a choice to support and amplify a cause he genuinely resonates with, ensuring our digital voice mirrors the authenticity of our on-ground impact.
